ead and arsenic in soil can harm our health, but there are simple 
steps you can take to protect you and your family. Learn how you 
can get your soil tested and protect your health from lead and 
arsenic at kingcounty.gov/dirt-alert. 
As a resident of Normandy Park, you can get your soil tested 
by contacting King Conservation District. Residents can collect 
and submit their own soil samples and then submit them to King 
Conservation District or another EPA-approved testing laboratory. 
King Conservation District and the Department 
of Ecology host free soil testing at their soil 
SHOPs. More information on how to connect 
with King Conservation District is available by 
scanning the QR code.

will offer guidance on preparing soil for testing, 
interpreting results, and taking healthy actions 
based on test findings.

sales require a Peddler’s Permit? 
That’s right!
Before conducting business 
in the City of Normandy Park, 
individuals engaging in door-
to-door sales must obtain both a 
Normandy Park business license 
and a Peddler’s Permit. The 
permit is available through our 
online portal and costs $35.
1.	All persons who, without 
a prior invitation from the 
occupant, go from place to 
place, or house to house, 
carrying for sale, exposing 
for sale, or offering for sale 
goods, wares, merchandise, 
or services of any type, for 
present or future delivery.
2.	All persons seeking to obtain 
gifts, donations, or contributions 
of money, clothing, or another 
valuable thing.
3.	All persons engaging 
in activity for which 
registration is required 
under Chapter 19.09 RCW, 
Charitable Solicitations 
(whether registered with the 
Secretary of State or not).
