he City of Normandy Park won a service 
grant through the King Conservation 
District to complete a Tree Canopy 
Assessment during the fall of 2025. This Tree 
Canopy Assessment produced an updated report 
quantifying the current canopy cover in the city. 
The data from this assessment is used to 
help develop policy, inform future forestry 
restoration programs, set 
future canopy goals, plan 
for improved stormwater 
management, and provide 
online planning tools.
