The Council approved the purchase of a pre-owned Vactor Truck, which uses high-pressure water and vacuum technology to clean storm drains and catch basins. Purchasing a quality used vehicle allowed the City to save money while continuing to provide reliable service to residents. ✔Ordinance No. 1086: Transportation Benefit District (TBD) Update – Since 2013, the City’s Transportation Benefit District has helped fund the maintenance and repair of Normandy Park’s streets and sidewalks through a $20 annual vehicle license fee. This ordinance updates the City’s code to align with current state law and allows for future adjustments if needed. The City Council has no plans to change the current fee, and no increase was approved as part of this action. The update simply ensures the City’s code remains current and provides flexibility for future Councils if circumstances change. Resolutions and Ordinance ✔The City entered into an agreement with the Normandy Park Community Club (NPCC) to help make America’s 250th anniversary celebration especially memorable. As part of this partnership, residents can look forward to a professional fireworks display on July 3rd, complementing the community’s traditional July 4th festivities and creating a full weekend of celebration. See page 10 for more details. ✔A Memorandum of Understanding with the Normandy Park Farmers Market was approved, allowing the Market to relocate to Marvista Park for the 2026 season. The approved Memorandum of Understanding outlines the roles and responsibilities of both the City and the Market to support a successful season in the new location. Agreements
