Fireworks Regulations and Reminders

he Normandy Park Community 
Club in partnership with the City of 
Normandy Park will sponsor a public 
fireworks professional show on July 3 at the 
Normandy Park Community Club beach in 
celebration of America 250.
This special community event is free and 
open to the public. Fireworks will be launched 
from a floating barge offshore, creating a 
spectacular display over Puget Sound. Show 
time is approximately 10:00 p.m.
Bring a blanket, enjoy the waterfront setting, 
and join us for this special opportunity to 
celebrate America 250 right here in Normandy 
Park. Please do not bring personal fireworks 
to the Normandy Park Community Club or its 
premises. Stay tuned for more details about 
arrival and set-up time for the day of the event.

America 250 Celebration on July 3

s our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of  
the United States, many families will mark the 
occasion with gatherings and fireworks. To help 
everyone enjoy a safe and festive Independence Day, please take 
a moment to review Normandy Park’s fireworks regulations and 
permitted hours.
The rules regarding fireworks are found in Chapter 7, Section 
32, of the Normandy Park Municipal Code. Just like last year, the 
hours for fireworks are 6 PM-11PM on July 3rd and 4 PM-11 PM on 
July 4th. Fireworks can only be used on private property (with the 
property owner’s permission, obviously). It is unlawful to possess 
or discharge any fireworks in or on any public park, public open 
space, public playground, public street, public road, public right-
of-way, or other publicly owned property in the City of Normandy 
Park. Only consumer fireworks are allowed. Any illegal fireworks 
will be seized, and the owner cited. The first violation is $250; 
a second violation within 2 years is $500; and a third violation 
within 2 years is a misdemeanor. If you have any questions about

Department during business hours at (206) 248-7600. 
As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and reflect on 
the freedoms and responsibilities we share, let’s honor this 
milestone by looking out for one another and celebrate safely.
