Volunteer-led restoration efforts are helping the 
forest at Nature Trails Park flourish with a growing 
diversity of native plants. As the habitat becomes 
healthier and more resilient, it continues to support 
a wide range of wildlife, including juvenile owls and 
pileated woodpeckers. The photos featured here 
were taken at Nature Trails Park in spring 2026 and 
submitted by local birder John Mozeika.
