Buck Van Huss Dome Renovation, continued
office, the auxiliary gymnasium, and 
the wrestling room. In addition to 
the interior work, other renovations 
included the exterior Dome entry plaza, 
new ADA parking outside of the rear 
Dome lobby, and an additional new 
parking lot.
Work in the Dome gymnasium area 
consisted of the new structural roof 
and exterior roof covering, a new wood 
gym floor, new high-performance 
basketball goals, new bleachers, new 
individual seating, a new hanging 
four-sided video board, a new state-of-
the-art sound system, a full branding 
package honoring the 100-year legacy 
of Dobyns-Bennett athletics, a new 
HVAC mechanical system, a new 
electrical system, and new lighting, 
including LED overhead lighting and 
a color-accent LED lighting system. 
In addition to the above noted items, 
new code compliant railings around the 
intermediate walkway were provided 
along with ADA compliant seating  
at various locations around the  
seating bowl.
