b'Help Our TreesRemove Ivy!continuedCut all of the ivy vines that connect and spread to the ground. Pull all ivy vines around the trees base from the ground, making a 2-foot life saver ring around the tree. Once cut, leave the ivy on the tree. Do not pull it off because doing so could injure your tree. Over time the ivy will turn brown and fade into the canopy and it will no longer continue to spread and seed or harm your tree. Lets get started to rid Normandy Park of this invasive vine that closes our views, topples our trees, and covers our native wildflowers and understory huckleberries. Do you want to know more? Visit Washington States Noxious Weed Website for more info at: nwcb.wa.gov or visit King County at: kingcounty.gov/weeds. We hope to follow this with more information until our ivy army has conquered this invasive enemy.
